It often seems that not a day goes by without at least 1 email asking ‘how can I help’. We have developed a few different ways for people to get involved:
Spread the Word with Bead Bucks
We are very excited about our new BEAD BUCKS program. While people have been active about spreading the word about the Foundation and Akonye Kena, we thought we’d add an incentive to encourage more people to do so.
How it works:
Anyone who wants to spread the word can simply contact us and we will give you a unique coupon code that you can pass around. This coupon will give anyone who uses it an automatic 10% off their purchase (excluding shipping and handling). In addition, the person who gave the coupon receives 5% in Bead Bucks. These can be redeemed dollar for dollar for product from the store (excluding shipping and handling). To help you out, we can develop marketing materials (such as posters or newsletters).
Suggest Shows
Quite simply, we don’t know all the shows we should be in. We’re actively booking ourselves into as many shows as are appropriate for our product. In 2010 these included: International Quilt Festival; Oasis Bead Shows; Stitch and Craft. Our goal is to have booths in at least 20 shows in 2011.
Volunteer at the Shows
Due to the amount of work we have at our ‘home base’, we can only afford the time for 1 person to go to a show, we’d love to have people help out with our booths. Once we have show schedules set up, we’ll post that information so that those who are interested can volunteer.
